I live in Missouri. I was curious what snake this might be. It didn’t seem particularly large but wasn’t thin either. I suspect it might be a water moccasin, but I didn’t see pronounced yellow rings on its body. If anyone knows what type of snake this might be, I’d appreciate it.

I’m thinking about moving to water moccasin country. I’ve lived in rattlesnake country my whole life, but I’m a bit nervous about the water moccasins, especially in terms of dogs.

So… anyone live close to water? Do you ever see the boogers? Do you know of any dog that’s gotten bit by them? Have your dogs ever confronted one? Anything I should know about water moccasins?

Someone I know got bitten by a water moccasin and I was wondering if it is fatal and if it is how long do we have before the person dies or something like that.

My 2 co-workers have been arguing about snakes and one said that a water moccasin bite his cousin twice which caused his coiusins death and the other co-worker is arguing that a water moccasin will only bite once.
