How do I prevent the bottoms of moccasins from wearing away?

I’m planning on buying Minnetonka Moccasins without soles (I find the ones with soles ugly), but I heard they get holes in them if you wear them outside. =/

Is there anything you can stick on the bottom or do to them so that they don’t get messed up? & Any other tips with them? Thanks so much.

  • JL:

There’s nothing you can really do because friction will get through the layer of whatever one way or another. I guess you can try to find thinner soles but I have no idea who or what sells them (thinking of those cheap hotel slippers and what they use on those, or those flats).

Buy new ones do not step in water.
